A fractional CFO for construction, EPC and renewables businesses

There's a point where the business outgrows its bookkeeper but can't justify a full time CFO. The bank wants proper management reports. A big contract is a quarter of your revenue. You're signing off on numbers you don't fully trust.

That's where we come in: a senior finance team, part time, at a fixed monthly fee.

Four signs you need more than a bookkeeper

1. Your reports arrive too late to change anything. If you see last month's margin six weeks later, the job's already finished and the money's spent.

3. One contract could sink you. A single job worth a big slice of revenue needs a cash plan, not a hope.

2. The bank is asking questions. Covenants, WIP schedules and a forecast, not screenshots of a profit and loss.

4. You're the finance department. If you're doing payroll at 10pm, you're not running the business.

Two of four, it's time to talk. All four, you needed this six months ago.

Three levels, one fixed fee

Finance Manager, from $2,750 a month.

Books, payroll and compliance. Keeps the books accurate, oversees the bookkeeping function, runs payroll and BAS and gives you a basic monthly P&L.

Financial Controller, from $4,950 a month.

Everything above plus month end close and management reporting, project reporting, WIP, budgets, bank reporting and covenant checks.

Head of Finance, from $8,500 a month.

Board level reporting, funding and bank negotiations, systems, R&D tax incentive and strategy alongside you.

All fees plus GST. No lock in contracts. Bookkeeping only starts from $999 a month.

What it looks like in practice

Before TechEdge, Rami took a solar and battery installer's reporting from three months behind to a two week close, and reported profit site by site across 100 plus locations for a multi site operator. That's the same work we now do for clients, at a fraction of a full time hire.

Who it's for

  • EPC and engineering contractors

  • Builders and civil contractors growing past the owner run stage

  • Solar, battery and renewables businesses taking on bigger projects or raising funds
